We have all had a wonderful week here in Falmouth.
The apartment is outstanding and its view breathtaking!
Many an early morning has been spent watching the sun rise over the harbour.
The 'Chain Locker' is a hidden jewel - a few Cornish Knockers have been consumed!!! 5 Degrees West has tickled our appetites and they serve a mouth watering Cornish Burger which is excellent.
Along with the good food and drink, we have completed some wonderful walks. The Flushing to Mylor Harbour had superb views and is very enjoyable. Watch out for the muddy patch though.
We are sad to be leaving BUT we will be back!
Have thoroughly enjoyed stay in your apartment, couldn't have been better. Views are of course amazing. Try the 'Cornish Knocker' - fantastic drink. Quayside Inn downstairs was our favourite place on a Fri and Sat night as they have live music. For eating out try The Hut, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Bodenes is excellent for Tapas but it is useful to book ahead. We also enjoyed trips to Seal Sanctuary in Gweek and of course the Maritime Museum.
We have had a fabulous week here in a gorgeous apartment - beautifully fitted out. We have visited so many wonderful places and loved them all.
St Michaels Mount (Need a good day and good shoes)
Trelissick Gardens (Natural Trust)
Mawnan Church (Fantastic views of the Helford)
St Just in Roseland, St Mawes, Mylor Harbour, Flushing
Glendurgan Gardens
Gyllingvase Beach, Swanpool, Maenporth all lovely
But really the best place for views...just here! Thanks for a wonderful week..
Many thanks for a fantastic fortnight. The apartment is beautiful ( We have spent most of our time on the Balcony!) We have had a fantastic time and great luck spotting wildlife. Dolphins and Maenporth beach, (great beach if you have Children) A seal right outside the balcony. Best of all basking sharks at Porth Curnow beach! What a sight to see! Newlyn Fish Festival was excellent this year, and Kite surfers as St Michaels mount spectacular (if weather is windy).
Last week in October, beginning November. Arrived with winter clothes didn’t even need a fleece as
the weather has been wonderful and the view from this flat, what can we say, always something to watch there have been days when we just wanted to stay in and watch the comings and goings. Last night watching the cruise liner leaving was magical. We have had a wonderful time and a lovely location and are sure we will be back - this is the nicest place we have stayed in Cornwall. Can’t wait for next years holiday .
An extremely comfortable, warm well equipped apartment, excellent for a winter break (as well as summer I would imagine) The view is mesmerising complete with soothing sea sounds and harbour bustle. Shops within easy walking distance make self catering perfectly possible. We found many things/places to do and visit in the winter as we would have expected in some locations in the summer. The abundant information and instructions including places to eat etc where much appreciated, as was the responsive communication with owners. We are definitely coming back!.
Thank you so much. We have been so comfortable and happy here - a real home form home. Everything is of such a high standard and thank you for sorting us out so quickly and at such short notice. We have loved just being able to sit and watch the sea and the comings and goings of the harbour - what a fantastic view. What a fantastic holiday let, we will be recommending to all out friends and family and hopefully come back ourselves soon..
This is a lovely apartment - quite a home from home- thank you! We have had a great stress free break in Cornwall. It was aur first visit and it certainly matched all our expectations. Falmouth is an excellent central point for touring. Particularly liked Marazion, Mevagizzy and St Agnes. We “did” the Eden project too despite the rain this was a great day out! We have been able to de-glue our mobile phones from our hears - it will be hard to go home to the humdrum!.
